Helping FirstService Residential clients navigate the path to efficiency
FirstService Residential and our energy advisory affiliate, FirstService Energy, have been preparing our board members and building owners to comply with the multitude of new energy laws required by New York City's Climate Mobilization Act. The law aligns with the city’s goal of reducing building emissions by 40% citywide by 2030 and by 80% by 2050.
FirstService Residential has an obligation to help our clients improve efficiency, reducing costs and emissions, and comply with the law. Over the past three years, our team of experts has delivered an assortment of webinars, symposiums and other educational content to educate our clients about the law. Since 2018, we have been providing each property with their estimated grade and have conducted scores of individual consultations with board members and owners.
This extends to helping our clients identify and quantify capital improvements or retrofits that will improve their building’s energy efficiency score and letter grade. We also are helping to educate residents on simple measures they can take to reduce their personal energy consumption.
We are delighted to introduce Energy Insights, which contains all of the tools and resources we have produced on this topic. Please take some time to explore the webinars, articles, energy efficiency guides, and other materials available to you. FirstService Residential and each of our affiliates are here to answer your questions and provide guidance on how to increase your building’s letter grade and reduce your property’s overall carbon emissions.
With the right plan and the right partners, boards and owners can turn this obligation into an opportunity to save money, reduce emissions, and improve quality of life for residents.
